Absolut Vanilla Vodka

A few weeks ago the off licence by me announced they were closing down and they were having a massive sale to get rid of all their excess stock and when me and my friends heard this we rushed down there to stock up on cheap booze for the next party we went to. Now while I was there I noticed a bottle of Absolut Vodka for only a fiver so without really taking any notice I bought it straight away. I didnt realise until I got home that it was a Vanilla version of the ordinary Absolut but that didnt bother me in the slightest because if anything that made me want to try it even more. So straight away I got some glasses and poured me and my mates a glass of this each with coke (because no matter what flavour the vodka is I refuse to even try and drink it neat!!) and we quickly set about drinking it.

Us Drinking It [Mixed]:
Now Im not a massive fan of vodka because even when its mixed I find you still get that horrible nail varnish remover smell but this one smelt amazing (and in my experience if something smells nice it will probably taste nice as well). But once we mixed it with the coke I found the vanilla taste wasnt very strong and I could only really taste the coke. Having said that I couldn't atste any of that horrible vodka taste either so I guessed we were onto a winner.

Us Drinking It [SHOTS!]:
I saved the rest of the bottle for a party we were going to that weekend to share with my mates. Now after a few drinks I forget what things taste like so I am well up for drinking vodka straight so thats what we attempted to do. I was proper shocked when I found that this even when drank neat tasted amazing and I could barely taste any vodka apart from that little kick after you have drank the shot. I found myself drinking a good 3 more shots after this one because it tasted just like pop, I sort of forgot I was drinking alcohol.

This drink is incredibly sweet which does mean it can become a bit sickly after a few shots but to be honest you only need a few shots to get you more than tipsy so I don't think the sweetness should become an issue.

I cant actually remember what alcohol percentage this drink is but I think its more or less the same as most vodkas around 37.5% which is average in my experience.

Price:
I paid around a fiver for this but I think it's usual retail price is about £16 which is a hell of a lot but trust me the taste of this is so amazing it is nice for a treat every now and again, especially if your planning on sharing it with friends, because I know if your friends are anything like mine they will absolutely LOVE it.

Overall Opinion:
If your looking for an extra-special drink then I highly recommend this one, but it might be a little to expensive for most to drink regularly. This is a very nice twist on a quite nasty drink which makes it nice to drink and it does get your very drunk very quickly so be warned lol.
