Barry M Liquid Eyeliner

For me liquid eyeliner is a beauty must have. I rarely go a day without wearing it and I feel really naked if I go without it. I think that just a proper thin line of liquid eyeliner does wonders for your eyes and for me it makes me look more awake and gives my eyes a nice frame without me having to spend that much time on my make-up.

Unfortunately I find that Im really allergic to a lot of liquid liners which makes me very apprehensive when it comes to trying new ones. I have only ever tried one liner that didnt bring me out in a rash and that cost me 59p but unfortunately the other day when I went to stock up I found that the store had discontinued the range so that left me back a square one looking for a new liner. And that is where this Barry M product came in. Im a big fan of this range anyway and Ive been meaning to try out their eye liner range for ages so this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

Different Shades:
I personally decided to try out the Black & Pink shades of this liner but it comes in another 5 shades for all different occasions and like the rest of the Barry M range these colours look a little different to the norm and teh range contains some of the brighter more obscure colours.

[I thought Id include this part for Insanestar :)] The Barry M website does say that shades Le5 Purple & Le6 Pink are not suitable for vegans but the rest of the range is fine.

God Im dying to try out the Electric Blue shade!

Packaging:
Like the whole of the Barry M collection I think the packaging for this liner is pretty simple but I reckon that makes it look classy and I hope it means they have concentrated on making the product inside super good. The one I own is a dark black colour with Barry M written on the front in gold lettering. These just look exactly like you would expect a liquid eyeliner tube to look and quite pretty in my opinion:

Exquisite definer!

This eyeliner is complimented with a new superfine brush giving ease on application to create that strong glam look. Available in brand new gem colours to bejewel your eyes and make them shine!

The Liner:
I think this is one of the easiest liners to apply, in my experience anyway. its goes on really smooth and you can get a really defined, solid line in just one stroke. Obviously as with false eyelashes practice makes perfect with applying eye-liner as well the more you apply it the better you will become and in time the straighter your line will be.

I found that when I had applied it the quite thin line looked really precise and exactly the way I wanted it and even better my flick didnt smudge! I do a little "Cleopatra style" (as my mom calls it) flick at the corner of my eyes and usually eye liner smudges and makes the line a lot bigger than I intended but I found I really didnt have this problem with this liner so I was happy.

I have found that this liner lasts about 6 hours before it starts to fade from the solid colour but I think thats quite good, well it is certainly not the worst I have ever tried thats for sure. I think 6 hours is a good amount of time for this to last because I only really need to apply it once a day that way.

I WASNT ALLERGIC!

That for me was the best part about this product. Not only did it look great and it was easy to apply, it did not leave my eyes red or irritated which for me is the most important thing when it comes to eyeliner.

Overall Opinion:
Dont let not been very good at applying liquid liner put you off buying this because as with anything worth having practice does make perfect. I found this really easy to apply and I found that it left me with a precise line that looked solid and bold. I really want to try the Electric Blue shade of this liner now because I think it would look really amazing.
Obviously I cant say how good the rest of the range is but the two shades I tried were both fantastic and didnt irritate my poor eyes at all, it just left them looking really awake and dramatic.

This product costs around £5 and it can be picked up in places like Boots or Superdrug. I think that is great value for money and I highly recommend you go out and pick yourself up 1 or 2 or 7 lol.
