I only bought this razor the first time around because it was on offer in my local Morrisons and it was a lot cheaper than what I would normally pay for a razor so I went ahead and bought it without a second thought. Most of the Venus razors have some kind of gimmick behind them ie. one of them is a vibrating razor but I didnt know what the special point of this particular Venus razor was when I bought it I just wanted it to get rid of the hair on my legs! I have since found out this razor is meant to moisturise as well as shave due to the little green bard either side of the blades that are "full of moisture" or so the makers say anyway.
What Does The Razor Look Like?
Well getting the razor out of the plastic container it comes in is the hardest part! I had to fully tear the box open so it was beyond repair before I could even use the razor so that wasnt a good start!
Anyway the razor itself is made of white plastic with blue grips down either side to make it easier to use in the bath or shower. The razor head has 5 blades (for an even closer shave apparently) and on either side of the blades are the light green bars which are the moisturising parts of the razor.
Results:
This razor delivered the best results of any Venus razor or for that matter any razor I have ever used. Those moisture strips really do work because when I stepped out of the shower I could not believe how smooth and silky my legs felt and I didnt even need to use my normal moisturiser afterwards. There was literally not a hair left on my legs once I had gone over them with this razor so I would say the 5 blades really do work wonders and they are a great thing to have added to this razor. I could not stop staring at and touching my legs afterwards because the felt proper smooth and that feeling lasted for around 5 days! Which is a lot longer than most razor effects last in my experience.
As mentioned in a review by asif7709 the hair does get stuck down the back of the razor and it can be very hard to get out again I dont know if this is due to the design or not but that part of the razor is irritating, especially if like me you use it all the time. I was quite happy to read that review and realise I'm not the only one who has experienced that problem.
How Long Does One Blade Last?:
I used this razor with the same blade all the time over a period of around 4 months before it went really blunt and pretty much stopped working. I think that's pretty good because if it had lasted any less than that I wouldnt have been happy due to the amount I paid for it in the first place.
Razor Cost:
This razor cost me around £8 for 2 (my mom stole the other one) but usually I think they retail at around £7 which isn't bad when you consider the results you get.
Blade Refill Cost:
For 6 new blades to fit this razor it will cost you around £16 which is a hell of a lot and I think it works out cheaper if you buy a new razor everytime one goes blunt which is a bit of a rip off. The blade costs really do bring this product down.
Overall Opinion:
The price of this razor I know will put a lot of people off but once you realise how great the end results are you will be quite happy to pay that much money. I haven't been totally satisfied with some of the Venus razors I have tried but this one has converted me. You will be left with silky smooth and best of all moisturised legs after you have used this and if your anything like me you wont believe the results.

I might have to try these as a treat from my cheap razors.
