**FILM ONLY REVIEW**

I have had this film now for what seems like years and I know I must have had it for quite a while because I still have it on video! Ive just never got around to converting it to DVD even though this is a film that I could watch over and over again. I was surprised to find that this film hasn't really gone down well with other dooyooer's and it only has a 3 star rating overall! I am going to write this review from the complete opposite viewpoint because I loved it then and still do now. I am a big Adam Sandler fan and I love pretty much every single one of his movies that I have ever watched and I am very happy to say that this film was no exception and every person I ahve watched it with thought the same as me, that is was a brilliant film and very funny.

Now if Im totally honest before I watched this film I had never heard of over half of the actors that starred in it but after watching it I think it was a good choice to cast the exact people that they did. All the actors play their certain part really well especially Adam Sandler and I think that helps to make the film a bit more believable as a whole.

Whats The Film About?:
Longfellow Deeds (Sandler) is just an ordinary bloke who lives in a small town in America and everybody adores him. But when his wealthy uncle Preston Blake dies and Deeds inherits his forty billion dollar fortune Deeds has to make a move to the city and start living like a rich man. Deeds soon realises he isnt cut out for being a rich man after several misunderstanding's get him onto the news for all the wrong reasons but then he meets Pam (Ryder) a school nurse who he saves from being mugged.

He quickly falls in love with Pam and is happier than ever. Until he discovers that Pam isnt who she says she is and she has been lying to him all along. Now Deeds must decide whether this new found wealth is really what he wants.

Im not going to say what the big secret is or go into the plot anymore because that will totally ruin the film for everyone who does want to watch it but there are a lot of character twists and a few more characters that provide the comedy element.

What I Thought Of The Film:
Now while I thought that this film was really funny I liked the message behind the story and that message was that money cant buy you everything, especially love and that money doesn't always make you happier which is a great message I think because it is so true.

This movie is typical Adam Sandler style humour with comedic characters and funny one-liners rather than amazing writing but I think that makes the movie really funny. I would say though if you dont like Sandler films then you wont like this one either because it does follow the usual comedy style. The characters are all very likeable and even though some of them we should hate (Pam) I felt like as the film went on I was starting to like her character even more and understanding the position she found herself in.

There is one scene in this film that cracks me up everytime: The scene where they are in the private jet and they start singing. It cracks me up every time I watch it and I think that scene really does sum up the film for me.

This really is a fantastic film and I highly recommend you watch it for yourself and dont listen to the bad opinions on it because I cannot understand why anyone could hate this film. The ending is a fabulous twist as well which really made me smile :)

Overall Opinion:
A wonderfully heart-warming film that leaves you smiling for hours afterwards. I highly recommend everyone watches it.
